Star Trek 50th Anniversary

Aside

Star Trek

As I said in earlier post, Star Trek is one of my favorite shows of all time. It influenced the way I live my life. 😎

The first version of Star Trek I saw as a kid was actually Star Trek: The Animated Series. I thought it was awesome as a kid. Eventually I found Star Trek: The Original Series and it became one of my favorite shows growing up. When the movies came, and I saw Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan I was hooked!😀

from my “Today is The 46th Anniversary of Star Trek” post.

When I was a kid I loved Star Trek, and Spock was a great influence on me growing up. I never wanted to be Kirk or Bones. They didn’t have the mental skill and control that Spock had. I was always attracted to characters that could carry out things by using mind over matter. This is the same reason I like Batman more than Superman or other superpower heroes.

from my “Leonard Nimoy 1931-2015” post.

Happy birthday Star Trek ❗ I can’t way for the next 50 years! 😀

startrek-batmanIt’s amazing how many actors have connection between Star Trek and Batman. 😯

Here is a list of actors that have been in both.

I always thought that green girl in Star Trek: TOS looked like Batgirl in the 60s Batman! 😛

Batman and Star Trek are two of the most-lasting entertainment franchises, successful in television, film, comics, books, video games, Halloween costumes, novelty records, you name it.

As a kid, handling things more logically than emotionally was one of the things I try to emulate by watching Spock. I was mostly unsuccessful though. 😉 He was my favorite Star Trek character of all the Star Trek series and movies.

Leonard Nimoy was a great actor and artist. He did more than just acting. He wrote and directed movies, was a successful photographer, and voice actor.

Today is The 46th Anniversary of Star Trek

Another great anniversary after the Batman: The Animated Series 20th Anniversary, today is the 46th anniversary of Star Trek! ❗

The first version of Star Trek I saw as a kid was actually Star Trek: The Animated Series. I thought it was awesome as a kid. Eventually I found Star Trek: The Original Series and it became one of my favorite shows growing up. When the movies came, and I saw Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan I was hooked! 😀

Later I got into Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, but some how I couldn’t get into Star Trek: Enterprise that much. 😕

Star Trek became a great influence in my life. It made me a geek and into space and science. Watching Star Trek made me question everything and learn from the answers.

Happy anniversary Star Trek! 😛

Star Trek in 5 Minutes

Star Trek always has been my number one favorite science fiction show/movies from all the others that I grew up with. I guess it felt closer to reality than say, Star Wars. Not that I don’t like Star Wars, but Star Trek really wake my curiosity for space and science in general. It even influenced me with the kind of progressive music that I listen to.

Anyway, here is a good looking back at Star Trek for those that really enjoy their history.

Enjoy! 😀
